There are some changes to Bible study group organisation this year. The biggest is the removal of the Switch/Element distinction. As I’ve mentioned, numerous people have told me the Switch/Element divide made it harder to build friendships with others of different ages. If this is true of the majority of evening church, then I hope most people will have as their first preference ‘Any group’. If it’s not, the groups might just look like last year, without the names Switch and Element.
I’m curious to know if there is interest in an all guys and/or all girls group. These groups will only happen if there is enough interest in them.
I’m expecting most groups to meet in someone’s home, though the Barnabas Centre is still available for use if a group decides that is most convenient.
Also, I want to encourage each group to have greater autonomy. To that end, not only will groups decide amongst themselves where to meet, but also when to meet. If the group you are allocated to decides to meet on a day you can’t make, please let me know and we can find another group for you to join.
