Toys ‘n’ Tucker

Toys ‘n’ Tucker is an opportunity to help care for the needy at Christmas time, run in conjunction with Anglicare, by providing hampers & toys for families in need throughout the Sydney area.

For our regulars, we’ll be leafletting and collecting toys and cans from the local area in mid-late November - signup this Sunday to help out.

When the apostle Paul heard that Christians in Galatia (modern Turkey) had fallen for a new Jesus-plus gospel, he went ballistic (so much for meek & mild!) Paul knew he was up for a fight - a fight to protect the freedom that Jesus had won through his death on the cross. Paul’s letter to the Galatians is a heartfelt and desperate appeal to be satisfied with Jesus alone, because adding to Jesus is only ever taking away. Galatians is probably the earliest of Paul’s letters and a window into his passion for the gospel of God’s grace alone, for starting and continuing as a Christian.

Far too often, Christians & churches have been duped by a legalistic and self-indulgent gospel, that offends Jesus, denies us freedom, and has no real power to change … don’t miss the Galatians fightback!
