Partnership at Matthias

Why ‘Partners’?

The New Testament talks about Christians being not only members of the body of Christ, but also partners in the ministry of the gospel (have a look at Philippians 1:3-5). The term “partner” implies an active involvement in this ministry.

We invite people who have been involved with us for some time and who wish to be committed to the work of the gospel in our churches to become partners in a formal sense. We run a partnership course which gives information about our church, our staff and our finances and which presents those attending with an opportunity to ask any questions they’d like to ask.

We believe that when someone becomes a partner it is a help to them and to our church. It helps them to say formally that they are committed to this church and so support in prayer, effort, time and money. It also helps us to know that they’ve decided to be with us.

If you are already regularly with us and would like more information about partnership, please contact one of the long term staff members, or contact the Church Office.
