Robyn Powell

Robyn works with the children and families at our Sunday Morning Congregation at Paddington. Robyn is responsible for training and encouraging Sunday School teachers, and the oversight of that ministry during term time and in the holidays. She leads a team of scripture teachers for ministry at the local school, and also teaches drama on Wednesday afternoons.

Dave Rogers

Dave is the pastor of Evening Church at Matthias. After growing up in Westleigh and working at Westpac, he thought it was finally time to head east. In between, he did a ministry apprenticeship and four years at Moore College. A good day involves catching up with Evening Church-ers, telling someone about Jesus, and quality prep time in the Bible. Dave is responsible for teaching and equipping the evening congregation at Paddington, and working with Jono Marshall who oversees our ministry to highschoolers.

Caroline Spencer

Caroline Spencer is our Ministry Assistant. She has a special focus at the 9:30am Paddington Meeting overseeing our Welcoming and Integration of newcomers. She is also involved in teaching, equipping & encouraging the women at both Paddington congregations. Among other things she organizes women’s events, runs bible study groups for women & meets women for coffee who are interested in finding out more about Christianity.

Jono Marshall

photo of Jono kicking back ...In 2007, Jonathon Marshall joins the staff team full-time to oversee our youth ministry. Prior to this, Jono spent two years juggling his time between a ministry apprenticeship with us and study at Anglican Youthworks college. He is passionate about sharing Christ with young people, loves rugby and one day hopes to beat Dave at foosball. Jono invests his time in growing our youth leaders, heading up 11:51 (yrs 9-12 on Sunday afternoons), and getting the news about Jesus out to our local highschools.

MTS apprentices

David Blowes

photo of David ...David loves Jesus, his wife Edwina, and cross-stitch. Well, maybe not the cross-stitch. Having spent the last few years alternating between full-time work and Uni, David & Edwina are keen to continue serving God with their lives, with MTS as a first step in a lifetime of service.

Matt Pettett

Matt is training with us part-time for one year. He is also in year 3 at Youthworks College and he can tie his own shoes and spell his own name. He likes getting hurt playing rugby or any other sport that’s on offer. Matt is the co-ordinator for JAM (yr7-8) this year and leads a young adults bible study. He hopes to continue serving Jesus (wherever God puts him!) for many years to come.

Kirsty is in her second year of studying at SMBC (Sydney Missionary and Bible College) in 2007. As a student minister at St Matthias she will be working with the youth on Sundays at 11:51 and Fridays at TEKOA. She is also hoping to encourage the female youth leaders in their role. Kirsty gave her life to Jesus as a teenager and remembers well the significance of those years in shaping her life and her faith. She takes this motivation into her ministry.

Anton Marquez

Anton is a first year student at Moore College and is working with us at Sunday Morning Church and Evening Church. Prior to this, Anton worked as a primary school teacher and served in various roles in his local church in Roseville. He is married to Katie who teaches English at PLC Sydney.
