Pastoral Staff
Warwick de Jersey
Warwick is the Rector at St Matthias. Warwick hails from Sydney. Before entering full time paid ministry he was a high school teacher. He was at Moore College from 1987 to 1991 and ministered in Wollongong during 1992-1993. From the beginning of 1994 Warwick, his wife Caroline and children moved to work at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Adelaide where they focused on ministry to University Students.Warwick has been serving at St Matthias since the end of 2003.
Warwick’s passions are evangelism, his family and motorcycling which he wishes he had more time to indulge. He is keen that everyone know that Port Adelaide are the premier AFL side in the competition.
Robyn Powell
Robyn works with the children and families at our Sunday Morning Congregation at Paddington. Robyn is responsible for training and encouraging Sunday School teachers, and the oversight of that ministry during term time and in the holidays. She leads a team of scripture teachers for ministry at the local school, and also teaches drama on Wednesday afternoons.
Joshua Kuswadi
Joshua is the Evening Church minister and would love to see you any Sunday, 6pm at Paddington. He is married to Jo and they have two beautiful children, Tom and Sophie. After five years of corporate work and one working for a refugee organisation in Egypt, Josh and Jo wanted to serve God by teaching the Bible and training others to do the same.
Joshua loves drinking coffee with friends, gets excited by running rugby and is most pumped when he sees and hears of how God is at work in this world.
Dani Treweek
As our women’s ministry co-ordinator, Dani works with the women of both the morning and evening congregations to help them grow in their service of God’s people at St Matthias. She meets with women one-on-one and in groups to train and equip them to further use the gifts that God has given in their ministry. She also regularly teaches the Bible to the women who meet on Tuesday mornings for bible study and oversees the welcoming ministry of the morning congregation.
Dani is rather pleased with fact that she doesn’t drink coffee (though that doesn’t stop her from frequently ‘catching up for coffee’ with friends!), has too many bookshelves crammed with too many books and is one of the (rapidly diminishing) faithful remnant who is convinced that ‘Lost’ really WILL make sense in the end.
Jono Marshall
In 2007, Jonathon Marshall joins the staff team full-time to oversee our youth ministry. Prior to this, Jono spent two years juggling his time between a ministry apprenticeship with us and study at Anglican Youthworks college. He is passionate about sharing Christ with young people, loves rugby and one day hopes to beat Dave at foosball. Jono invests his time in growing our youth leaders, heading up 11:51 (yrs 9-12 on Sunday afternoons), and getting the news about Jesus out to our local highschools.
